The engineered three-layer hardwood floor must be installed last, after all other decoration work has been done. The windows, central heating and wiring must be fitted and painting must be finished. The room must be dry and the ventilation system functional.
The interior doors must be installed after the floor has been laid (unless the door installation instructions say otherwise).
Before being laid, the three-layer floor must be stored horizontally,
in a dry place and on an even surface. Do no store the floor boards vertically, propping them on edge or up against other objects.
For the 48 hours before installation, the three-layer hardwood floor should be stored in unbroken factory wrapping (shrink-wrapped) in room temperature and preferably in the room where it’s going to be installed. The temperature before and during the installation should be at least 18°C.
The final effect will be dependent on the quality of the base. Each base on which the Baltic Wood engineered three-layer floor is to be laid, should meet the following conditions.
